Colombian Communist Party

The Colombian Communist Party (PCC) is a communist party in Colombia. It was heavily suppressed during the 1940s and 1950s. In 1964, less than 50 surviving members led by Manuel Marulanda Vélez formed FARC and began a guerrilla war near Marquetalia.[1]
