The Peruvain Communist Party (PCP), more commonly known as the Shining Path, is a Maoist political party and terrorist organization in Peru. It is responsible for the toturing of many Peruvian civilians.[1] It was led by Abimael Guzmán, who was largely treated by the Shining Path as if he were a god or cult leader.[2]
