The Sudanese Communist Party is a communist party in Sudan. Since the 2019 Sudanese coup, many of its members have been arrested by the military junta.
Repression
In May 2022, General Secretary Muhammad al-Khatib and Politburo member Salih Mahmoud were arrested by the military after returning from South Sudan.[1] They were released on May 20.[2]
